A mix of the heavy riffs of Modern Heavy Metal and the soaring melodies of the Gothenburg Sound combined with a lead singer with a distinct rockvoice, this might be the best description for the sound that KINGS WINTER have created since the band's inception in 2018. Founded by married couple Jule and Tobias Dahs and named after their German hometown "Königswinter", the duo quickly released their debut EP "Forging The Cataclysm" in 2019 and followed the initial success with the release of their debut album "Edge Of Existence" in early 2021. Recorded and mixed by guitarist Tobias in his home studio, both releases were met with great feedback from critics and fans alike and fueled the idea to turn this studio project into a full-blown live band.

With a slight detour during the pandemic, which saw the duo create the first installment of a planned series of unplugged EPs ("Sonic Silence - The Unplugged Sessions Vol.1"), Jule and Tobias followed their initial plan and added Christian Schmitz to the fold. As a three-piece, the band quickly returned to the studio to begin work on the second album "The Other Side Of Fear", which features 8 brand-new songs and saw the light of day in January 2024. The lineup was then completed by Hendrik Franke (MARTYRION,FROSTGRAB) on bass guitar and drummer Javed (KINGDOM OF SALVATION) and the band played its first show in September 2024 at a nearly sold-out show in Troisdorf.

But what looked like a start into a bright future took a slight detour when it became clear that Christian's commitments as a professional touring musician and guitar teacher created more and more scheduling conflicts. Together, Christian and the band made the tough decision to replace Christian with Babsi Rockx, who officially joined Kings Winter in March 2025. With a completed lineup, the five-piece is now ready to conquer stages from 2025 onwards and is also working hard on new music.
